The focus is on the wines from the Palatinate and Rheinhessen growing regions — Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Weißburgunder on the white side; Spätburgunder, Dornfelder, and Portugieser on the red. Each winery presents its current assortment, many offer tasting sets or individual glass pours.
Three Festival Days with Their Own Dramaturgy
The program structure follows a clear dramaturgy: On Friday, May 15th, the festival opens at 5 PM and runs until 11 PM — an opening with aperitif ambiance and initial live music contributions. Saturday, May 16th, is the main festival day from 5 PM to 11 PM with an extended music program and culinary diversity. Sunday, May 17th, from 1 PM to 6 PM, is the direct sales day — the vintners sell their wines directly to visitors.
Tickets and Concept
Tickets are available from 23 Euros (advance sale via Eventbrite and Gemeinsamhandel). The ticket usually includes a tasting glass and a tasting contingent. Coinciding with this is "Zweibrücken kunstvoll" on Sunday — an additional program of art exhibitions, open shopping Sunday, and culinary offerings that complete the weekend.
