GOLDrausch in Autumn

The GOLDrausch-Kirmes Days in autumn have been a firm fixture in the event calendar of the municipality of Goldenstedt in the Vechta district for years. While the spring edition in May opens the season, the autumn Kirmes Days conclude the warm season at the end of September and mark the start of the autumn and pre-Christmas period in the Oldenburger Münsterland.

Shopping Weekend

A special feature of the autumn Kirmes Days is the shopping Saturday and Sunday weekend. Local retailers open their doors beyond regular opening hours, combine their displays with special promotions, and use the festive atmosphere to attract customers to the village center. This combines the character of a Volksfest with commercial revitalization into a mutually reinforcing concept.

Family Program

As with the spring edition, the program is explicitly aimed at families. Bouncy castles, pony rides, games, and craft and activity stations are spread across the main street. Local clubs offer snacks, coffee and cake, and drinks. The large flea market extends over several hundred meters of the main road and is an attraction for bargain hunters from all over the district.

Evening Party with DJ

On Saturday evening, the character of the event shifts: the family-friendly Volksfest turns into an evening party with a DJ and open-air catering. Young adults and adults from Goldenstedt and the surrounding area meet in the illuminated village center to toast, dance, and chat late into the night.
