Year-end tasting of Ruwertal vintners in the Kasel community center with a tasting of the current vintages
The Ruwertal is part of the Mosel wine-growing region and is located between Trier and the Hunsrück. It is one of the smallest wine sub-regions in Germany, but at the same time one of the oldest and most highly respected. The cool slate slopes along the Ruwer River produce lean, mineralic Rieslings that enjoy international cult status. Ruwer-Riesling e.V. bundles the marketing and events of the Ruwertal vintners.
The Weinbörse Ruwer in November is the showcase where the vintners jointly present their year's work. The Kasel community center — centrally located in the Ruwertal — becomes a wine platform for one day: member wineries set up tasting stations, visitors move between them, and get to know the spectrum of the current harvest. Unlike a Volksfest (public festival), the focus here is clearly on the wine.
Rieslings of all styles dominate in the glass — dry, off-dry, residual sweet to noble sweet. Some vintners use the Börse (exchange) for the initial presentation of their premium lines or new single-vineyard wines. The format is suitable for wine collectors, trade professionals, and connoisseurs who want a compact overview of the Ruwertal season — the entire region can be sampled in four to five hours.
Kasel, along with Waldrach and Mertesdorf, is one of the three central wine-growing villages in the Ruwertal. Its community center is a proven venue for wine events organized by the association. The date falls in the quiet pre-Advent season, an ideal time for wine professionals and connoisseurs to explore the wines in peace without the hustle and bustle of a festival.
The 2026 Weinbörse is coordinated by Ruwer-Riesling e.V. It marks the end of the year in the association's event calendar and is particularly interesting for trade professionals, wine collectors, and connoisseurs.
A list of participating wineries and the tasting fee will be published on the association's official website before the event.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in spring/summer. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
