With the WEIN.EVENT "Pink Glow in the Glass", Neustadt an der Weinstraße annually kicks off its series of Experience Sundays — Sundays with open shops, each linked to a themed Palatinate wine event. The 2026 edition falls on the first Sunday after Easter, April 12th.
The concept of the Experience Sunday is simple and effective: Neustadt's city center shops open on Sundays, a Spring Market with regional producers and artisans enlivens the pedestrian zone, and the WEIN.EVENT, which gives the event its name, takes place in the historic town hall — a curated tasting with a thematic focus.
In April 2026, the motto is "Pink Glow in the Glass": The focus is on Rosé and Sparkling Wines. Around one hundred different Sekt, Rosé Sekt, classic Brut sparkling wines, and still Rosé wines from the Palatinate and other German wine regions will be available for tasting. The tasting takes place from 1 PM to 6 PM in the town hall.
For an entrance fee of approximately €20, guests receive a tasting glass and free access to all tasting booths. The number of tickets is limited, so arriving early is recommended. Often, the WEIN.EVENT is combined with a guided tour of the old town in the morning — an ideal opportunity to get to know Neustadt's medieval city center and collegiate church before the glasses clink in the afternoon.
The entire city center — from Maximilianstraße to Marktplatz and Hetzelplatz — will be bustling on this Sunday with Spring Market stalls, live music, and gastronomic offerings. A successful blend of Palatinate wine culture, city life, and spring atmosphere.
WEIN.EVENT Pink Glow — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the WEIN.EVENT "Pink Glow in the Glass" takes place on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The program is divided into two parallel areas: the Spring Market and Sunday Shopping throughout the city center, and the central wine tasting in the town hall.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in the spring. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years: Market operations and shop openings from 11 AM, opening of the wine tasting in the town hall at 1 PM, peak of the tasting in the late afternoon, event end at 6 PM. Live music at several locations in the city center throughout the event.

Spring Market with regional vendors, crafts, spring floristry. Sunday Shopping: shops on Maximilianstraße and in the city center open.
1:00 PM–6:00 PM — Neustadt Town Hall
WEIN.EVENT "Pink Glow in the Glass": Around 100 Rosé and sparkling wines for tasting. Palatinate and German producers present Sekt brut, Sekt rosé, Rosé sparkling wines, and still Rosé wines. Admission approx. €20 including glass.
Accompanying Program
Often combined with a morning Old Town tour (separate registration via Tourist Information). Live music in the pedestrian zone.
