Christmas Market at the School Centre

The Weihnachtsmarkt Cappeln takes place at the school centre (Gymnasium / Oberschule) in Cappeln. This choice of venue creates a direct connection to the community — schools, students are involved in the organisation and design. The organiser is the municipality of Cappeln in cooperation with the business association, schools, local clubs, and social institutions.

Evening Format on Saturday, Afternoon Format on Sunday

A special feature is the time slot: Saturday only from 6 PM, Sunday from 3 PM. The late Saturday timing makes the market an evening mulled wine event with a special atmosphere — the Christmas lights are best appreciated in the dark. Sunday offers more family time with a children's program and a visit from St. Nicholas.

Program and Offerings

The program combines classic Christmas market offerings with contributions from schools and clubs: mulled wine, bratwurst, potato pancakes, gingerbread, candied almonds, handicrafts, Advent wreaths. Stage program with school choirs, brass bands, and performances. Stalls run by schools, clubs, and social institutions collect for good causes.
