A Small Advent Market with Great Tradition
The Weihnachtsmarkt Bad Salzelmen is one of the most beautiful small Advent markets in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. It traditionally takes place on the first weekend of Advent on the historic market square of Bad Salzelmen — the very place where Bad Salzelmen, as an independent town, was once organized around its salt works and brine baths. Getting There
Schönebeck (Elbe) is located about 15 kilometers south of Magdeburg, accessible via the A14 (Schönebeck/Calbe exit) and by S-Bahn line S1 (Magdeburg–Schönebeck). From Schönebeck main station, it's about 2 kilometers to Bad Salzelmen, reachable by bus or on foot. Parking is available around the Salzelmen market square.
