The Wandlitz Outdoor Art Market is one of the most established craft festivals in the Barnim district. When the village centre of Wandlitz becomes a gallery on the last Sunday in July, collectors, art lovers, and families flock from Berlin and Brandenburg — many combine the visit with a swim in the nearby Wandlitz Lake or a bike tour through the Schorfheide. The exhibitor list includes painters, sculptors, ceramicists, glassblowers, wood designers, jewellers, textile and fashion designers. A large proportion of the exhibitors come from Barnim and Uckermark — others travel from Berlin and the Mecklenburg Lake District. The stalls are spread throughout the village centre, allowing you to take a stroll through the old Wandlitz centre and discover new workshops in every alley.

Wandlitz and the Barnim

Wandlitz is located about 30 km north of Berlin on the edge of the Barnim Nature Park region. The municipality is famous for its chain of lakes (Wandlitz, Liepnitz, Stolzenhagen lakes), for the former Politburo residential area Bernau-Wandlitz, and for its vibrant cultural scene.
