The Wandlitz Outdoor Art Market 2026 is the largest open-air craft market in the Barnim district. In the historic village centre of Wandlitz, over 70 artists from the region present their works directly at their stalls — often with the creation process visible.
In late summer 2026, an indoor art market on November 7/8 will also take place at the Goldener Löwe cultural centre — a complementary event of the same tradition.

Getting There
By car via the B109 or A11 exit Wandlitz, approx. 30 km from Berlin-Pankow. Parking available on the outskirts of town. By train RB27 (Heidekrautbahn) to Wandlitzsee, then a 5-minute walk.
Admission
Free admission. Food and art are paid for on site. Most artists accept card payments.
Tip
Arrive in the morning, as the most beautiful pieces sell out early. If you have cash, you can often negotiate better.
Art between Wandlitz Lake and Schorfheide
The Wandlitz Outdoor Art Market is one of the most established craft festivals in the Barnim district. When the village centre of Wandlitz becomes a gallery on the last Sunday in July, collectors, art lovers, and families flock from Berlin and Brandenburg — many combine the visit with a swim in the nearby Wandlitz Lake or a bike tour through the Schorfheide. The market is family-run, regionally rooted, and consistently focused on quality over mass-produced goods.

The exhibitor list includes painters, sculptors, ceramicists, glassblowers, wood designers, jewellers, textile and fashion designers. A large proportion of the exhibitors come from Barnim and Uckermark — others travel from Berlin and the Mecklenburg Lake District. The stalls are spread throughout the village centre, allowing you to take a stroll through the old Wandlitz centre and discover new workshops in every alley.

The motto 'Art, Culture, and Culinary Delights' is taken literally: In addition to the artists' stalls, Brandenburg direct marketers and local restaurateurs provide visitors with fresh honey, farm cheese, Lusatian sausage, and organic beer. Culturally, readings, music sets, and small performances complement the market programme.
Wandlitz and the Barnim
Wandlitz is located about 30 km north of Berlin on the edge of the Barnim Nature Park region. The municipality is famous for its chain of lakes (Wandlitz, Liepnitz, Stolzenhagen lakes), for the former Politburo residential area Bernau-Wandlitz, and for its vibrant cultural scene. The art market is part of an annual cycle of village festivals, concerts, and markets that make Wandlitz one of the liveliest cultural spots in the northern Berlin metropolitan area.
