Walter Isst — StreetFood Festival in Hamburg Stadtpark
Twelve food trucks, an open-air comedy show — Streetfood weekend in the Stadtpark
2026
About Walter Isst Streetfood
Walter Isst Streetfood — edition 2026
The 2026 edition takes place on the first weekend of June. The venue is the grounds at Landhaus Walter in the Hamburger Stadtpark. Twelve confirmed food trucks cover the entire streetfood spectrum — from the classic North German bratwurst truck (Holsteiner) to Australian (Luke's Outback Burger) and Mexican cuisine (El Gatito).
Vegan and vegetarian stands make the festival attractive for non-meat-eating visitors too. The organizer is Landhaus Walter itself — a Hamburg institution with its own restaurant and event operations.

Stadtpark — Hamburg's green lung in Winterhude
The Hamburger Stadtpark in the Hamburg-Nord district, with 148 hectares, is one of the largest city parks in Germany and a recreational area for the northern districts. Located in the Winterhude district, the park houses, among other things, the Planetarium, the open-air stage — and the traditional Landhaus Walter, a restaurant and event venue that has been a Hamburg institution for decades.
Walter Isst — Streetfood under the open sky
Under the label "Walter Isst", Landhaus Walter invites you to a streetfood weekend twice a year (early summer and late summer). In June 2026, the early summer festival will take place on June 6 and 7 — two days of food trucks, international cuisine, and park ambiance.
The Food Trucks 2026
Around twelve food trucks and streetfood stands will set up their kitchens under the trees. The lineup includes, among others:
- Planet V — vegan classics
- Holsteiner — North German bratwurst variations
- Luke's Outback Burger — Australian burger culture
- True Home Food — Soulfood
- Kiez Curry — Currywurst à la St. Pauli
- Kleine Crêperie — Breton crêpes
- St. Pauli Pizza — Hamburg pizza
- Big Ben Burger — British burger interpretation
- El Gatito — Mexican tacos and burritos
- Das Kräuterglück — Herb streetfood
Vegan and vegetarian options are spread across several stands.
Comedy on Saturday evening
A highlight is the free open-air comedy show on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. Four comedians will take the stage, delivering "stories, punchlines, and everyday observations." The format is a mix-show style — no headliners, but a round of stand-up talents from the North German region.
Park atmosphere and live music
The festival uses the grounds around Landhaus Walter — covered seating areas, lawns, small fairy lights. Live music accompanies the weekend on a small stage. The atmosphere is family-friendly, with space for children, without hectic Volksfest noise.
Hamburg-Nord on a map
The Stadtpark is located between the districts of Winterhude, Barmbek-Süd, and Borgfelde. Anyone visiting or living in Hamburg-Nord has the park practically on their doorstep. The park is excellently accessible by bicycle.
