About VR-Kaiserfestival
The VR-Kaiserfestival is the newer, commercially very successful open-air concert series directly at the Deutsches Eck. The organizer is Neuwied Musik, one of the most important concert promoters in the Middle Rhine region.
Location
The stage will be set up on the area behind the equestrian statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I, with a view of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and the confluence of the Moselle into the Rhine. A spectacular concert backdrop, unique in Germany in this form, which has become a trademark of major open-air events in Koblenz in recent years.
2026 Program
The 2026 edition brings four top acts on four consecutive evenings:
- September 3: Howard Carpendale on his official farewell tour.
- September 4: Mark Forster, for the fifth time in Koblenz.
- September 5: Johannes Oerding with his first appearance as part of the festival.
- September 6: Andrea Berg for the grand finale.
Advance ticket sales began in late autumn 2025 and, according to the organizer, are already more than 50% sold out. Early booking is therefore strongly recommended.
Arrival and Services
Due to its location in the city center of Koblenz, arrival by public transport is recommended. The Deutsches Eck can be reached on foot from the main train station in about 20 minutes or by bus. There are a variety of food stalls, bars, and a covered VIP area on the festival grounds.

The four concert evenings are booked and ticketed independently. Admission times and accompanying programs will be communicated by the organizer in due course.

Confirmed 2026 Program:
- Thursday, September 3: Howard Carpendale — Farewell Tour, the final open-air tour of the German schlager icon.
- Friday, September 4: Mark Forster — the German pop singer for the fifth time as part of the festival.
- Saturday, September 5: Johannes Oerding — Premiere of the Hamburg-based pop singer at the VR-Kaiserfestival.
- Sunday, September 6: Andrea Berg — the queen of schlager as the grand finale of the festival.
Each concert evening is designed as a standalone open-air event with a supporting program, main show, and catering. The stage show is produced with elaborate lighting and sound technology.
