The Vinothek on Tour is one of the most charming formats of the Koblenz Wine Festival. Instead of a central event in the city centre, the pop-up wine bar travels through Koblenz's districts, making the festival's wine culture accessible in different urban environments. The Südstadt stop is the first of the 2026 season.
Schenkendorfplatz
Schenkendorfplatz in Koblenz's Südstadt district is a lively square with cafés, bars, and residential buildings. During the Vinothek on Tour, it becomes a relaxed open-air wine meeting point with picnic blankets, lounge furniture, and selected wines.
Concept
Ten selected festival wines will be served at the wine stands – a curated selection offering a cross-section of the Mosel, Mittelrhein, Ahr, and Rheinhessen wine regions. Live music from regional artists and a relaxed picnic atmosphere characterise the format. Instead of plastic cups, the festival wines are served in specially made Glas-Koblenz glasses for the wine festival. The glass serves as a deposit (5 Euros) and can be taken home as a souvenir.
Partner Bukowskis Tresen
The cooperation with Bukowskis Tresen – a well-known bar in the south of Koblenz – adds an extra touch to the Vinothek on Tour Südstadt: the bar complements the wine offerings with catering and atmosphere.
Vinothek on Tour Südstadt — edition 2026
The Südstadt stop is the first Vinothek on Tour of the 2026 season, thus opening the small, decentralized format events of the Wine Festival. The exact music program will be published in spring 2026.
Programme Vinothek on Tour Südstadt 2026
Program structure 2026:
- May 22nd (Friday evening): Opening at Schenkendorfplatz, setting up the picnic atmosphere, first live music.
- May 23rd (Saturday): All-day picnic atmosphere, several musical performances.
- May 24th (Sunday): Frühschoppen (morning pint), family program, festival closing.
Selection:
- 10 selected wines from the Wine Festival – a cross-section of Mosel, Mittelrhein, Ahr, and Rheinhessen.
- Catering by Bukowskis Tresen.
- Glas-Koblenz as a souvenir (5 Euro deposit).
