First Techno Event in Front of the Kurhaus
With the Vibrancy Open Air at Kurhaus Wiesbaden, the Hessian state capital experiences a premiere on May 23, 2026: for the first time, a Techno and House Open Air will take place in front of the classicist Kurhaus – one of Germany's most magnificent spa culture buildings from 1907. The fusion of electronic club culture and historic Belle Époque architecture is the concept's signature: The Kurhaus square becomes an open-air stage, and the Kurhaus serves as a visual backdrop.
Line-up with International Stars
The line-up for the first edition features four headliners:
- Camelphat – the British duo (Mike Di Scala & Dave Whelan), multiple Grammy nominees, with hits like 'Cola' and 'Rabbit Hole', one of the biggest house acts of recent years.
- Fritz Kalkbrenner – Berlin producer and singer, brother of Paul Kalkbrenner, known for tracks like 'Sky and Sand' (soundtrack of the film 'Berlin Calling') and his more emotional, melodic house style.
- Christian Löffler – producer from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a pioneer of 'Melodic Techno' with elements of acapella and sound art.
- Chris Luno b2b Skala & Amina – a back-to-back set from the DJ lineup around Chris Luno, a Berlin resident of the Salon series.
Seven Hours of Dancing
The open air runs from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM – seven hours of programming, a 'sundowner' format. The early end time (10 PM) considers its location in the middle of Wiesbaden's spa district with adjacent residential buildings.
4,500 Visitors, Sold Out, Ages 21 and Up
With around 4,500 visitors, the event is mid-sized in terms of capacity, promising an intense experience relative to the line-up. The open air is sold out; tickets are only available through official resale. The minimum age is 21 – a sign of its club-oriented target audience.
Wiesbaden Opens Up to the Electronic Scene
Wiesbaden, as a spa town, is traditionally associated with classical concert culture (Hessisches Staatstheater, Kurhausorchester) and magnificent summer festivals. With the Vibrancy Open Air, the city positions itself on Germany's electronic festival map for the first time – a step that also modernizes the state capital's image for younger audiences. Organizer Vibrancy Music is a German festival collective with other events in Berlin and Munich.
Kurhaus as a Stage
The Kurhaus Wiesbaden is one of Germany's most important spa culture buildings – architect: Friedrich von Thiersch, completed in 1907. It houses the Casino Wiesbaden, a concert hall, and event spaces. The Kurhaus square, with its magnificent fountains and view of the Kurhaus, provides an outstanding festival backdrop.
