The VfL Wolfsburg Fanfest & Kids-Day takes place on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM around the Volkswagen Arena and AOK Stadium. Free admission. The event is part of the 80 Years VfL anniversary program and will be celebrated with special effort.
On the main stage, artist performances alternate with player interviews and autograph and selfie sessions. The VfL Kids Day bundles 20 activity stations for children aged three to thirteen on the A-Platz. Starting at 4 PM, a women's test match against Union Berlin will follow in the AOK Stadium.

The Fanfest is the traditional season opener for VfL Wolfsburg, aimed equally at season ticket holders, families, and casual fans. The area around the Volkswagen Arena and AOK Stadium transforms into a festival mile with stages, activity zones, catering, and fan events.
80 Years VfL
In 2025/26, VfL Wolfsburg celebrates its 80th anniversary. The festive weeks include several highlights — the Fanfest on August 10th marks one of the kick-offs. Special editions, anniversary jerseys, and historical commemorative formats shape the program.
Main Stage
Artists perform on the main stage, complemented by player interviews with the professional team, the VfL women, and representatives from youth and management. Autograph and selfie sessions are an integral part — fans have the opportunity to meet their idols up close.
VfL Kids Day
A children's course with 20 activity stations is set up on the A-Platz next to the arena — from penalty kick speed tests and dribbling slaloms to skill and reaction games. The stations are designed for age-appropriateness (3 to 13 years) and are accompanied by coaches and mascots.
Women's Test Match from 4 PM
Following the Fanfest, the VfL women's team will play a test match against Union Berlin in the AOK Stadium (kick-off 4 PM). The match is part of the preparation for the new Bundesliga season.
