Traditional market with Sunday shopping on the town square
The Veitsmarkt in Aichach is one of the traditional markets of Upper Bavaria. It is celebrated around St. Vitus' Day (June 15th) on the town square of this district capital of Upper Bavaria. Aichach is the seat of the Aichach-Friedberg district and part of the historic Wittelsbacher Land — the ancestral seat of the Wittelsbach dynasty is just a few kilometers away in Oberwittelsbach.

The 2026 Veitsmarkt runs on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Aichach's town square. Over 100 vendors will present their assortment — from household goods and fashion to textiles and sweets, as well as snacks and crafts. At the same time, the downtown shops will open at 1:00 PM and close at 5:00 PM — a classic Sunday shopping event in Aichach.
