Variety Under the Tent Palace

The International Variety Festival is a fixture in the cultural scene of Lower Franconia. In 2026, the 8th edition will take place for the first time in the baroque Werneck Castle Park in the Schweinfurt district (Bavaria). In the specially erected tent palace, acrobatics, music, and theater merge into a poetic stage world. The initiator, organizer, and artistic director is Dirk Denzer, a juggler, musician, and entertainer from Schweinfurt himself.

Around 100 Artists from All Over the World

Approximately 100 artists from around the world create the program: breathtaking acrobatics, masterful juggling, aerial arts, modern comedy, and imaginative productions. Mythical creatures dance high in the festival tent, stilt walkers celebrate the art of balance, and comedians make the audience roar with laughter. Each part of the program is specially curated.

Over ten days, the festival offers various shows with their own character:

• Dream Worlds – the imaginative opening show with mythical creatures and aerial arts
• Making Laughter – comedy night with comedy acrobatics, magic, and juggling
• Joy of Life – international acrobatics, aerial acts, and juggling
• Sparkassen Family Day – open-air spectacle with walk-acts and family show
• Gala Show – the festival's highlights for the grand finale

Culture and Health

The new location in Werneck Castle Park combines culture with the healing ambiance of the historic park – "Health and culture go well together," says the organizer about the choice of location. The baroque backdrop of the Balthasar Neumann Castle provides a special setting for the festival.
