The Unkeler Dreisprung's name reflects the concept of three routes. Hikers can choose from several route lengths depending on their fitness, time budget, and interests. Rhenish Landscape as a Stage

Unkel is located at the transition between the Siebengebirge in the north and the Middle Rhine Valley in the south, on the right bank of the Rhine opposite Remagen. The hiking opportunities range from the towpath along the Rhine and through the vineyards to the wooded slopes of the Westerwald. The Rheinsteig and Westerwaldsteig trails are present here. The Unkeler Dreisprung utilizes this scenic diversity and leads through various terrain types.
