Student Open Air at Königsplatz
For over four decades, the TUNIX Open Air has been a regular summer event for students and Munich residents. The venue is the beer garden next to the Glyptothek directly at Königsplatz – one of the most beautiful squares in the city. For several days, it becomes a relaxed open-air festival meeting point.
»by students for students«
TUNIX is organized by the Student Representation of the Technical University of Munich. Under the motto »by students for students«, the volunteer team puts together a lineup of selected bands that captures the right beer garden atmosphere. The festival is supported by the commitment of numerous student helpers.
Music, Beer, and Festival Feeling
On the stage in the middle of the greenery, there is live music, accompanied by freshly tapped beer, food, and sun. Admission is free – a piece of Munich's student culture that is open to everyone.
TUNIX Open Air — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of TUNIX Open Air is the 44th iteration of the student festival and runs from June 29 to July 3 at Königsplatz.
In the beer garden next to the Glyptothek, there will be live music on stage, freshly tapped beer, food, and sun. Admission is free. The lineup of selected bands is curated by the volunteer team of the TU Munich Student Representation.

Getting there
Königsplatz is centrally located in Munich and is directly accessible by subway (station Königsplatz). The beer garden is located next to the Glyptothek.
