Heavy Metal and Country Boots — Three Days at Lausitzring

The Truck & Country Festival at DEKRA Lausitzring is Brandenburg's major summer event for truck enthusiasts, country fans, and motorsport lovers. From August 7th to 9th, 2026, the large off-road area north of the racetrack between Klettwitz and Schipkau (Oberspreewald-Lausitz district, Brandenburg state) will become a three-day experience landscape with several program strands.

Truck Trial European Championship

The sporting highlight is the Truck Trial European Championship: International teams maneuver multi-ton trucks at walking pace through extremely demanding off-road sections — inclines, water hazards, stone and earth barriers. Speed isn't the key, but driving precision: every touch of the course markers, every reverse gear costs penalty points. The truck classes range from compact all-wheel-drive vehicles to massive 6x6 trucks.

Monster Trucks, Quarter Mile, and RC Trial

In addition, Team Lagrin presents its famous Monster Truck Shows with dramatic jumps over car wrecks. In the RC Truck Trial, 45 remote-controlled model teams compete on their own miniature trial course. The Quarter Mile competition features classic drag races, and the "Strongest Logistics Company" competition pits freight forwarding teams against each other in team challenges.

Country Village — Live Music and Line Dancing

Parallel to the motorsport zone, the Country Village emerges — Brandenburg's largest temporary country-western town. Live concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings bring national and international country acts to the stage (separate tickets required), while on Sunday afternoon, concerts are included in the day ticket. Additionally, there's guided line dancing, a Mechanical Bull, street food stalls, a Western Saloon, country shopping, chainsaw carving demonstrations (including rounds of the German Speedcarving Championship), and a falconry show with eleven birds of prey.

Family Program and Helicopter Rides

For children, there's a hay bale climbing labyrinth and an excavator playground with real mini-excavators and sandpits — a highlight for the little construction workers. Those who want to see the Lausitzring from above can book helicopter rides — an impressive perspective of the racetrack, the off-road course, and the distinctive Lusatian mining landscape.

DEKRA Lausitzring — Brandenburg's Motorsport Cathedral

The DEKRA Lausitzring in the south of Brandenburg is Eastern Germany's largest motorsport venue. Originally opened in 2000 as "EuroSpeedway Lausitz," the facility now hosts DTM, MotoGP training sessions, truck events, and major festivals like Reisbrennen and L8 Night. The Truck & Country Festival is the calmest, most family-friendly, yet characterful event on the Lausitzring calendar.
