Three Days of Celebration
The 2026 anniversary celebration combines historical tribute and a folk festival: On Friday, the association's history is honored musically — every living conductor directs a piece, and vice-conductor Marius Wagner presents an original composition. Afterwards, the Bradlberg Musig from Vorarlberg takes over.
Saturday features the musical highlight: the Innsbrucker Böhmische, one of the most famous Alpine brass music ensembles. Sunday concludes the anniversary as a grand regional folk festival — friendly bands from the Black Forest perform, the festival tent offers full catering, and admission is free.

A Club Turns One Hundred
In 1926, musicians from Brandenberg founded a small association that quickly became a fixture in the musical life of the upper Wiesental valley: the Trachtenkapelle Brandenberg. One hundred years later, the association looks back on a long history — from performances in the Black Forest village to concert tours in neighboring France, from small wedding masses to grand festivals. In 2026, the TK Brandenberg celebrates this anniversary with a three-day festival weekend that calls the South German brass music scene to the Brandenberg festival grounds.
Opening Ceremony with Bradlberg Musig
The festivities begin with the opening ceremony on Friday, July 17th, 2026. The Trachtenkapelle Brandenberg itself opens the evening with a concert where every living conductor directs a piece — a tribute to the musical history of the association. Vice-conductor Marius Wagner presents an original composition for the anniversary. Afterwards, the Bradlberg Musig from Vorarlberg takes over: six top-class musicians who bring fresh energy to Vorarlberg folk dance music.
Innsbrucker Böhmische on Saturday
The musical highlight is on Saturday, July 18th, 2026, under the motto 'Brass Music of the Extra Class': The Innsbrucker Böhmische are guests in Brandenberg. The Tyrolean ensemble is among the most distinguished Bohemian-Moravian-Austrian brass music groups in the Alpine region — a concert evening that will fill the festival tent to capacity.
Festival Sunday with Friends from the Region
Sunday, July 19th, 2026, is themed 'The Finale for Our Friends'. Friendly brass bands from the Black Forest and High Rhine bring their music to Brandenberg: Trachtenkapelle Altglashütten, Musikkapelle Randen, Musikverein Buch, and Trachtenkapelle Todtnauberg. Festival Sunday is free admission and family-oriented — the ideal opportunity to celebrate the anniversary weekend with the whole family.
Todtnau and the Upper Wiesental
Brandenberg is a high-altitude district of Todtnau, a small town in the Lörrach district in southern Baden-Württemberg. Located in the heart of the Black Forest, at an altitude of around 1,000 meters, Brandenberg is a popular hiking and recreation village in the summer — and in 2026, it will be the center of South German brass music culture for three days.
