Electronic open-air at Blies See with two stages, Palatinate wine stand, food court, and afterparty in Mannheim
The Blies Festival started in 2021 as an ambitious local electronic open-air at the Blies See in the south of Ludwigshafen, after which it is named. After several successful editions, the collective Tilt took over the event and developed it further under the name TILT Blies Festival. The festival has since established itself as a fixture in the electronic music scene of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, attracting a young audience mixed from both regional and supra-regional areas.
The Blies See on Nibelungenallee is a small city lake in southern Ludwigshafen, which, with its surrounding meadows, offers an exceptionally atmospheric festival setting. Lakeside views, trees, and an ambiance that bridges urban proximity and nature park make the grounds particularly attractive for an open-air event. Two stages structure the program and allow for a diverse sound progression.
The festival starts in the early afternoon at 1 PM and runs until midnight. This time structure is characteristic of regional day-time open-airs: it allows for relaxed arrival, a long musical journey over several hours, and an orderly end to the festival, which can seamlessly extend into the afterparty at the Mannheim club Zimmer. Those who still want to dance can take a bus or train to Mannheim after midnight and continue celebrating there.
With the 2026 edition, the Tilt team is focusing on conscious regional anchoring: A new Palatinate wine stand brings wines from the surrounding wine-growing regions to the festival – a statement that electronic music and Palatinate wine are not mutually exclusive. The expanded food court focuses on street food concepts with vegetarian and vegan options.
Early bird tickets went on sale from April 8, 2026, for €19. Around 3,000 visitors are expected – keeping the festival at a pleasant, manageable size.
The complete lineup with set times for each DJ will be communicated by the Tilt collective in advance. Based on experience, the festival brings a mix of regional DJs from the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region and international guests to the stages.
The exact 2026 lineup will be published by the organizer in advance. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years:
