Annual family festival in the Prignitz Wildlife Park
The Tierparkfest Perleberg is one of the most popular family festivals in the Rolandstadt Perleberg in the district of Prignitz. The organizer is the Förderverein Tierpark Perleberg e.V. (Friends of the Perleberg Wildlife Park Association), which operates the wildlife park and also contributes to the financing of the facility with the annual festival. The venue is the wildlife park in the north of the city – a small, family-friendly facility with native and exotic animals.
The festival offers a diverse program for the whole family:
The Tierpark Perleberg is a small but lively facility on the outskirts of the district town of Prignitz. On a manageable area, the park houses native and exotic animals – from fallow deer and peacocks to monkeys. The Friends' Association maintains the facility with great voluntary commitment and finances its upkeep, among other things, through the annual Wildlife Park Festival.
Perleberg is the district town of Prignitz in northwestern Brandenburg and one of the best-preserved Hanseatic cities in the state. The Roland statue on the Großer Markt has stood as a symbol of city rights since 1546. With around 12,000 inhabitants, Perleberg offers numerous other attractions besides the wildlife park – including the St. Jacobi Church and the historic old town.
The Tierparkfest 2026 transforms the Perleberg Wildlife Park into a large family festival. The focus is on a diverse hands-on program with a raffle, XXL wooden toys, and wildlife park bingo. Children can try out historical toys in oversized format and look forward to attractive prizes in the raffle.
The raffle includes, among other things, vouchers for Fantasy-World, admission to the Prignitz swimming pool, and further wildlife park visits. Guided feedings, a petting zoo, and culinary offerings complete the festival.
Admission to the wildlife park — the festival program is included in the admission price.
Take the Regional-Express RE2 from Berlin Hauptbahnhof for approx. 1.5 hours to Perleberg, then a 15-minute walk from Perleberg station or take a bus to the wildlife park.
Admission to the Perleberg Wildlife Park; the festival program is included in the regular admission fee.
Combine your visit to the festival with a city tour of Perleberg – the historic old town with the Roland statue and the St. Jacobi Church is just a few minutes away.
