Four Days of Psytrance near Rastow

The Summer Dream Open Air Festival is an electronic music festival that takes place annually from late July to early August on an open-air site near Rastow in the Amt Neustadt-Glewe. Over four days and three nights, the festival offers a dense program of Psytrance, Progressive, Hitech, and Darkpsy — genres of psychedelic electronic dance music with an international following.

Intimate Format with High Ambitions

With a capacity of around 2,000 visitors, Summer Dream deliberately remains small. Instead of mass entertainment, the organizers focus on an intimate festival atmosphere, elaborate decoration, and a closely connected community. The line-up brings together international headliners and established acts from the scene — artists such as Durs, Faders, Phaxe, Cloud7, and Hatikwa have graced the stage in recent years. In total, several dozen DJs and live acts perform per edition.

Arrival and Camping

The festival grounds are conveniently located between Ludwigslust and Schwerin. For arrival by car or camper van, the address is Uelzener Straße 24 in Rastow. A shuttle service from various German cities makes it easier to arrive without your own vehicle. Those arriving by train can reach Neustadt-Glewe; from there, it is not far to the grounds. Camping directly at the festival site is part of the experience.

Rastow belongs to the Amt Ludwigslust-Land in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim. The Summer Dream Festival complements the festival landscape of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with a format for lovers of psychedelic electronic music and attracts an international audience to the southwestern part of the state.
