A Village Hall in Northern Berlin
Lübars in the Reinickendorf district is one of Berlin's few surviving Angerdörfer: cobblestones, a church, horse paddocks, and half-timbered houses – at first glance, you might forget you're in the capital. In the middle of this district stands the LabSaal, a lovingly maintained cultural hall run by the association Natur & Kultur (LabSaal-Lübars) e.V., which has been dedicated to neighborhood cultural work between the countryside and the big city for years.
Student Concerts with Flair
The Summer Concert Days are a format created by the Berlin Musikcoach team and its music school. Adult students, who study an instrument or singing as a hobby or alongside their main job, present what they have honed during the academic year – not in the form of stiff recitals, but as real band performances. Trios, quartets, and larger ensembles take turns on stage.
From Jazz Standards to Film Soundtracks
The program surprises with its stylistic breadth: jazz standards, rock and pop numbers, chansons, instrumental film music. Saxophone solos meet groovy rhythm sections, piano trios play ballads, vocal ensembles reinterpret classics. It is precisely this mix of personal commitment and musical skill that gives the concert format its special charm.
Berlin Beyond the Center
Anyone visiting Lübars experiences a side of Berlin that is hardly known to tourists: the rural Reinickendorf on the northern outskirts, with hiking trails leading to the Tegeler Fließ and a village green that opens directly onto the fields. A visit to the Summer Concert Days can therefore be perfectly combined with a walk or a horse ride through the Lübars fields.
Summer Concert Days Lübars — edition 2026
The 2026 Summer Concert Days will take place on June 27 at the LabSaal Berlin. The adult students from the Musikcoach team work all year round in various band formations on a shared repertoire. At the Summer Concert Days, they present the results: vocals, saxophone, flute, drums, bass, piano, guitar, and accordion blend into an entertaining and stylistically diverse show.
Traditionally, smaller ensembles kick things off, and the formations grow larger as the evening progresses. Jazz standards alternate with rock classics, pop songs, and film music adaptations. The historic LabSaal, with its special acoustics, provides the ideal setting for this musical journey through popular genres.
Programme Summer Concert Days Lübars 2026
Saturday, June 27, 2026 – LabSaal Berlin
- 5:00 PM – Doors open with welcome drinks at the LabSaal
- 6:00 PM – Concert begins with adult student bands from Musikcoach Berlin
The program features changing ensembles, from duos to formations close to big bands. Stylistic focuses:
- Jazz Standards with piano, bass, drums, and wind instruments
- Rock and Pop Classics with a band
- Chansons and Singer-Songwriter pieces
- Film Music in chamber music arrangements
The exact order of ensembles will be announced on-site shortly before the concert. Program changes and additional performances are possible.

Getting There
LabSaal Berlin, Alt-Lübars 8, 13469 Berlin (Reinickendorf, Lübars district). Take bus 222 to the final stop Alt-Lübars. Approximately a 15-minute bus ride from U-Bahn station Wittenau or S-Bahn station Waidmannslust. Parking is available in limited numbers in the village.
Admission
Box office: €15 (adults), €10 (concessions). Two-day pass available upon request. Doors open at 5:00 PM, concert starts at 6:00 PM.
