Südstadtfest Vorsfelde

Vorsfelde — Old Market Town

Vorsfelde was granted town status in 1929 and incorporated into Wolfsburg in 1972. With its historic town center, small harbor on the Mittelland Canal, and a strong club scene, Vorsfelde retains its own character — and thus its own festivals, which clearly stand out from the events in Wolfsburg's city center.

District Festival with Clubs

The Südstadtfest is jointly supported by Vorsfelde's clubs, initiatives, and businesses. The club stalls offer food, drinks, small games, and information about the work of their organizations. The parking lot at Edeka Bahrs, as a centrally located area, provides space for the stage, stalls, and seating areas.

Live Music and Stage Program

Local bands and cover bands perform on stage. The program typically ranges from Schlager and Pop to Rock, supplemented by dance performances and presentations from Vorsfelde clubs.

Family and Traditional Moments

The children's festival with bouncy castles, hands-on activities, and games makes the Südstadtfest a family event. The tent service on Sunday and the subsequent Frühschoppen are the quieter, tradition-oriented moments — typical components of a North German district festival.
