Studernheim Christmas Market

The Studernheim Christmas Market is one of the smaller Christmas events in the city of Frankenthal and is deliberately tailored to the district. Studernheim is a suburb with a village character in the south of the city, which cultivates its own club structure and a lively church community life.

Schoolyard as Festival Grounds

The schoolyard of the Studernheim primary school provides an unusual but well-suited setting for the market: the enclosed courtyard architecture provides wind protection, the school buildings give the market a homely character, and its proximity to the church community allows for a direct transition to the Sunday morning service.

Organisers and Stalls

Participants include the primary school's support association, the sports club, the Studernheim volunteer fire brigade, the church community, the kindergarten, and some private hobby artists from the district. Homemade biscuits, bratwurst, waffles, crêpes, and mulled wine form the basic culinary offerings.

Stage and Children's Programme

The stage is small but well-attended: primary school choir, kindergarten performance, church community's brass choir, and occasionally a song performance by the Studernheim male choir. For children, there are craft activities and a visit from St. Nicholas on Sunday afternoon.
