About Street Food and Music Festival
The Street Food and Music Festival Germersheim is part of a nationwide series of events organized by Street Food and Music Festival GmbH, which visits around forty locations in German cities annually. The format has established itself since the 2010s as the most important hybrid of a street food market and a small music festival, and it visits Germersheim regularly in May.
Concept
The festival combines two concepts into one: a street food market with curated food trucks from all over Germany and a small music festival with a continuously programmed stage. Admission is free; revenue is generated through consumption.
Culinary Spectrum
Over forty food trucks and street food vendors offer a deliberately international and diverse spectrum: Mexican tacos and burritos, Korean bibimbap and Korean Fried Chicken, Lebanese mezze and falafel, Argentinian asado, Neapolitan pizza from a stone oven, German crafted burgers, vegan bowls, crepes, Hawaiian poke, Vietnamese Bahn Mi, and much more. Sweet concepts (handmade ice cream, donuts, cupcakes) are also represented.
Musical Program
Live acts and DJ sets alternate on stage throughout all three days. The music is dominated by soul, funk, acoustic pop, and indie acts from the region and beyond. The sound is tailored to a relaxed, market-like atmosphere.
Location and Atmosphere
The Paradeplatz in Germersheim is the central historic square of the former fortress city and offers a particularly beautiful backdrop for the festival. Around 7,000 visitors are expected each weekend.

- Fri, May 8, from noon: Opening, food trucks open, first acoustic acts on stage in the afternoon.
- Fri evening: Main concert with a live band (soul or funk), followed by a DJ set.
- Sat, May 9, from morning: Brunch offerings at the food trucks, all-day program.
- Sat afternoon and evening: All-day live music, several bands and DJ sets, main concert in the evening.
- Sun, May 10, from morning: Early bird specials, brunch offerings, relaxed daytime program.
- Sun afternoon: Closing set, dismantling from late afternoon.
The stage is continuously programmed, and all food trucks are open all day.
