Eitorf Wine Festival in the Park — Wine Enjoyment at the Sieg Gate
Are you traveling in the southern Rhein-Sieg district and looking for a wine festival that isn't overcrowded? Eitorf has the answer. In mid-August, the parking lot of the comprehensive school at the entrance to Siegpark transforms into a three-day open-air wine market. Winegrowers from classic German growing regions will be serving their selections, Eitorf's club scene will run the food stalls, and the live music will range from DJs to cover bands to family programs.
The Wine Regions
The most important German growing areas are represented:
- Nahe — mineral-driven white wines
- Mosel — Riesling classics
- Pfalz — Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir
- Ahrtal — Pinot Noir as a specialty
- Rheinhessen — wide selection of white and red
The winegrowers themselves are present at each stand — discussions about their winemaking philosophy, tastings, and direct purchases are part of the experience.
Flammkuchen and Specialties
To accompany the wine, there will be food stalls offering wood-fired Flammkuchen, baked Camembert, Bratwurst, Pulled Pork, candied almonds, and crêpes. Local Eitorf restaurateurs and club stands will provide the food — profits go back to club activities.
Live Music Over Three Days
The stage program is spread over three days with different focuses:
- Friday, August 14, 2026 — DJ set with DJ Gabor from 4 PM to 12 AM
- Saturday, August 15, 2026 — Live performance by the cover band "Jack is Back" from the evening, program from 2 PM to 12 AM
- Sunday, August 16, 2026 — Family program with bouncy castle, entertainment, and relaxed live music from 11 AM to 6 PM
Siegpark as an Accompanying Location
For those who want to do more than just drink wine, the adjacent Siegpark offers a green park area on the banks of the Sieg river with walking paths, playgrounds, and access to the water. The park is directly accessible via the festival entrance.
Eitorf and the Siegtal Valley
Eitorf is a municipality in the Rhein-Sieg district, Cologne administrative region, North Rhine-Westphalia, with around 19,000 inhabitants. The municipality is located on the Sieg river, the border river between NRW and Rhineland-Palatinate, in the southern Bergisches Land. Eitorf is easily accessible from Cologne via the Siegtal line (S-Bahn S12). The wine festival is one of the municipality's most important summer events, alongside the Eitorfer Sommer town festival and the Christmas market.
