The Food Truck Spring on Königstraße
The Street Food & Music Festival Duisburg in its April 2026 edition is one of the first street food festivals of the year in the western Ruhr area. From April 10th to 12th, 2026 – Friday to Sunday – the Königstraße in Duisburg's city center will be lined with international food trucks. Around 8,000 expected visitors, three days of internationality in food truck format.
What's on Königstraße
The concept is standard street food, but well executed: Food trucks from all over the world park in a row along Königstraße, which will be closed for three days. Expected are, among others:
- International Food Trucks – Mexican, Asian, Italian, American, Indian, Korean, Balkan, Turkish
- Classics – Burgers, Pulled Pork, Pizza, Tacos, Bao Buns, Currywurst variations, Crêpes
- Sweet Specialties – Donuts, Ice Cream, Churros, Waffles, Chocolate variations
- Drink Stalls – Craft Beer, Cocktails, non-alcoholic options, Specialty Coffee
- Live Music – the "& Music" element promises a stage with bands and acoustic acts over the three days
food-festivals.com — the Tour Organizers
The organizer is food-festivals.com – an agency that organizes street food festivals nationwide and maintains a network of food truck partners. The format is held in several cities in Germany; the April edition in Duisburg is one of many tour stops. The advantage of this format: the food truck quality is relatively consistent (it's the same trucks touring the country), the experience is professional.
Königstraße — Duisburg's Main Artery
Königstraße is the central pedestrian zone and shopping street in Duisburg-Mitte, from the main train station towards the Innenhafen (inner harbor). For the festival, a section of it will be closed – the food trucks will park here in a row, with bistro tables and seating areas placed in between. An atmosphere somewhere between a festival and a weekly market.
Duisburg — Largest City on the Lower Rhine
Duisburg, with around 503,000 inhabitants, is the largest city on the Lower Rhine and a central location in the western Ruhr area. Home to Europe's largest inland port, a steel industry stronghold, and a multicultural metropolis. The city center, with Königstraße as its main artery, attracts visitors from Duisburg itself, Oberhausen, Mülheim, Düsseldorf, the Lower Rhine region, and the neighboring Netherlands.
