Güntersleben belongs to the Franconian Wine Land and, as a wine village in the Würzburg district of Lower Franconia, Bavaria, is firmly connected to Franconian wine culture. The Straßenweinfest brings this wine culture right into the heart of the village: Franconian wine is served on Rathausplatz throughout the festival day, accompanied by hearty specialties and conviviality.

Supported by the Fire Brigade

The organizer is the Volunteer Fire Brigade Güntersleben, which has been hosting the festival for many years – past editions have already counted beyond the 40th. The commitment of the fire brigade makes the Straßenweinfest a true community festival, the proceeds of which benefit the association's work.

Wine, Music, and Conviviality

Franconian wines from Güntersleben vineyards are served. The Güntersleben Winegrowers' Association also cultivates the local wine tradition with Heckenwirtschaften (seasonal wine taverns) and a vineyard walk. Live music provides the atmosphere at the Straßenweinfest, turning Rathausplatz into a summer festival mile.
