Stadtfest Selm 2026 — Four Days Around the Campus

From June 18 to 21, 2026, the Selm Campus will open its gates for the annual city festival. Four days of sports, music, family entertainment, and good cheer in the heart of the city — a format that has become a staple in the Unna district of Sauerland in recent years and will feature a significantly expanded lineup in 2026.

Thursday — Volksbank City Run Opens

Traditionally, the city festival begins on Thursday, June 18, with the Volksbank City Run. Various distances for children, students, hobbyists, and competitive runners will wind through the city center — providing the sporting kick-off to the festival week.

Friday — Selm City Vibes

On Friday, June 19, the campus transforms into an open-air dance floor. "Selm City Vibes" is a DJ night featuring House, Tech-House, and Festival sounds, curated by local and nationally recognized acts:

• Locky — Afro House, Tech House, and EDM with driving rhythms
• Fabian Farell — established producer with over 35 million streams (including "Against The Rest")
• JUF-X — House and Festival specialist with extensive club and festival experience
• Steff Da Campo — Dutch artist with over 150 million Spotify streams

Saturday — Campus Party Selm

The main live program awaits on Saturday, June 20: the Campus Party Selm with bands and DJs. The headliner is the internationally renowned dance project R.I.O. feat. U-Jean ("Shine On", "Turn This Club Around"). They will be joined by:

• Music Monks — Tribute band bringing Seeed and Peter Fox hits to life on stage
• Danny van Keeken — Dutch DJ with a versatile party program
• Happy Tones Partyband — six-piece live party band, 100% live without playback

Sunday — Family Day, Dutch Market, and Castle Day

Sunday, June 21, is Family Day: the Hollandmarkt (Dutch Market) in the city center, accompanying concerts, and the Castle Day in Selm with guided tours of Cappenberg Castle and Botzlar Castle — both located within the Selm municipal area. The campus festivities conclude with family entertainment.

Selm — Gateway to Münsterland

The city of Selm, with around 27,000 inhabitants, is located in the Unna district of North Rhine-Westphalia, on the border of Münsterland. The city festival is one of the largest events in Selm's calendar and shapes the city's image — the campus, with its expansive grounds, is ideally suited for a four-day open-air format.
