Stadtfest Landstuhl

The Stadtfest Landstuhl will take place in its 36th edition from September 11th to 13th, 2026, and is the largest city center festival in the Sickingenstadt. The organizer is the Fördergemeinschaft Sickingenstadt Landstuhl e.V., which supports the event together with retailers, restaurateurs, and local clubs.

Festival Mile in the City Center

For three days, the central Alter Markt and the adjacent pedestrian zone will be transformed into a festival mile. Several stages will be set up, food stalls will line the streets, and stands from clubs, restaurateurs, and direct marketers will complement the offerings. The atmosphere is both familial and urban – typical West Palatinate city life with small-town charm.

Live Music on Several Stages

The musical program focuses on regional bands, cover bands, and DJs. The classic Stadtfest repertoire ranges from Palatinate dialect music to Schlager, Rock, Pop, and party hits. The multiple stages allow for different styles to be performed simultaneously – every visitor will find something to suit their taste.

Culinary Delights and Palatinate Wine

Palatinate vintners will serve their wines at stalls, and restaurateurs will offer Palatinate specialties such as Saumagen, Schwenkbraten, Bratwurst, and Leberknödel, complemented by international dishes, crêpes, Flammkuchen, burgers, and vegetarian options. The Alter Markt becomes a culinary meeting point.

Sunday Shopping

On Sunday, Landstuhl's retail stores will open their doors as part of the Sunday shopping event. The Stadtfest thus becomes a combined festival, culinary, and shopping day, attracting visitors from all over the West Palatinate, Saarland, and the nearby Ramstein Air Base community to Landstuhl.

Sickingenstadt

Since 1998, Landstuhl has borne the epithet "Sickingenstadt" in memory of the Imperial Knight Franz von Sickingen. Burg Nanstein, his main residence, towers over the city. The Stadtfest honors this historical heritage while anchoring it in a contemporary festival format.
