Klezmer, Classical Music, and Mosel Riesling at the Deinhard's Sparkling Wine Cellar
The Mosel Musikfestival is one of the most distinguished classical festivals in Rhineland-Palatinate. Since the 1980s, it has graced historic churches, monasteries, castles, and wineries along the Mosel river with a program spanning early music, classical, jazz, and crossover. In 2026, the concert with David Orlowsky and friends in Bernkastel-Kues focuses on a special encounter: sound and wine merge into a multisensory format.
David Orlowsky is internationally recognized as one of the outstanding clarinetists of his generation. With the David Orlowsky Trio, he shaped a unique musical language between Klezmer, chamber music, and improvised music for over two decades. In Bernkastel-Kues, he performs with an ensemble of fellow musicians, reflecting the stylistic breadth of his work.
The Deinhard's sparkling wine cellar is one of the most traditional addresses on the Mosel. Its historic vaults and premises offer exceptional acoustics and a fitting setting for a concert that equally presents wine culture and chamber music. The tasting features selected Rieslings and sparkling wines from the house and regional wineries.
Bernkastel-Kues, the twin town in the heart of the Middle Mosel, is one of the central venues during the Mosel Musikfestival. The concert with David Orlowsky and friends is part of a festival program that presents concerts at around forty venues from Trier to Koblenz.
The concert is part of the extensive 2026 festival program of the Mosel Musikfestival, which performs at numerous venues between Trier and Koblenz. Bernkastel-Kues is one of the festival's regular locations.
The exact 2026 program with the repertoire and tasting schedule will be published by the organizer in advance. The structure follows the established guidelines from previous years.
