Village festival of the fire brigade
The fire brigade festival of the volunteer fire brigade Bischofsgrün is one of the fixed dates in the event calendar of the recreation area. Bischofsgrün is located in the district of Bayreuth in the state of Bavaria, nestled between Ochsenkopf and Schneeberg in the heart of the Fichtel Mountains. The venue is the spa park around the fire station.
Program for the whole family
The brigade has put together a colorful program for the whole weekend. On Saturday, the festival begins cozily with coffee and cake in the afternoon. For children, there are games with a tombola and rides in the fire engines – a highlight for the youngest guests. In the evening, a barbecue with live music by the local "Bedarfstrio" from Bischofsgrün invites you to a convivial get-together.

Sunday starts heartily with a Weißwurst breakfast from 9:30 am – a Bavarian tradition where the village community meets and lets the festive Sunday wind down in a relaxed way.

The fire brigade festival is more than just a club festival: it is a meeting place for locals and guests of the holiday resort and also supports the voluntary work of the volunteer fire brigade. Admission is free.

On the weekend of May 16 and 17, 2026, the volunteer fire brigade Bischofsgrün invites you to its fire brigade festival in the spa park. On Saturday, the festival begins cozily from 1 p.m. with coffee and cake, followed by children's games with tombola at 2 p.m. and rides in fire engines from 3 p.m. From 6 p.m., the local "Bedarfstrio" will provide entertainment at the barbecue evening.
On Sunday, the festival day starts from 9:30 a.m. with a Weißwurst breakfast. Admission is free – a convivial family festival in the heart of the Fichtel Mountains.
