Septemberfest with Tradition

The Stadtfest Kuppenheim is part of the town's firmly established festival calendar: In June, the Schützenfest opens the season, followed by the Musikfest in July, and in mid/late September, the festival year concludes with the Stadtfest at Friedensplatz. The Stadtfest is the coziest of the three festivals — no large parades, but rather a relaxed late summer atmosphere with club stalls, music groups, and local specialties.

Friedensplatz — Central Stage

Friedensplatz is the heart of the town and serves as the central stage. Local music groups, cover bands, and clubs take turns on the stage program. The local clubs — music association, sports clubs, fire department, rural women's association — provide food and drinks. Typical specialties include Baden-Swabian dishes such as Flammkuchen, Maultaschen, and Schupfnudeln, accompanied by wine from nearby Baden (Schwarzriesling, Grauburgunder, Spätburgunder) and regional beer.

Family-Friendly Late Summer Festival

In contrast to the large Volksfests in the region (Karlsruhe Stadtfest, Mannheim Maimarkt), the Stadtfest Kuppenheim is a deliberately smaller, cozier festival: The clubs know each other, the stage is not too loud, and Friedensplatz is not too large. You meet your neighbors, sit in the late summer sunshine, and enjoy a few relaxed hours with Baden specialties — that's the promised format.

Kuppenheim — Mittelbaden at the Gateway to the Murgtal

Kuppenheim is located in the Rastatt district, in Mittelbaden, between Rastatt and Gernsbach at the entrance to the Murgtal valley. Known for the Daimler paint shop (one of the largest industrial plants in the region) and for the small old town around Friedensplatz and the parish church. Kuppenheim is directly connected by train via the Karlsruhe–Rastatt–Murgtal line.
