As every year, the music association presents its new concert program on a Saturday evening in April. The exact selection of pieces will be published a few weeks before the concert on the association's website. Start at 6 PM, admission from 5 PM.

Getting There

By car: Via the A6 (Homburg exit) and the B423 to Gersheim. Parking around the cultural center. By bus: Saar-VV lines from Homburg (20 min.) and Blieskastel stop in Gersheim-Mitte. Limited evening service — car recommended.

A Saarland Brass Band Tradition

The Musikverein „Harmonie" Gersheim e.V. is one of the traditional music associations in the southern Saarpfalz district. With active performances throughout Saarland — from carnival parades in Reinheim to MIB Breitfurt and church concerts in St. Alban — the association shapes the musical life of the region. The annual Spring Concert is the concert highlight: a hall concert in which the musicians present their repertoire work from the winter.

The Gersheim Cultural Center as a Venue

The venue is the Kulturhaus Gersheim — the central concert and event space of the municipality. With good acoustics and around 300 seats, the cultural center offers the appropriate setting for a full brass band concert. The architecture is functional, the atmosphere is familiar: many visitors know the musicians personally.

Gersheim in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Bliesgau

Gersheim is located in the Saarpfalz district, directly on the border with France (Moselle Department) and is part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Bliesgau. The municipality with its approximately 6,500 inhabitants consists of several districts — besides Gersheim itself, also Reinheim, Medelsheim, Niedergailbach, Bliesdalheim, and Walsheim. The music association is anchored in this rural, border region with its special identity.
