Cinema under the Spessart Stars
Spessartflimmern is one of those small but carefully organized open-air cinema festivals typical of the South German summer landscape. It is supported by Frammersbach Marketing eG, which has been shaping the cultural, market, and tourism program of the Spessart village for years.
Four Films, Four Evenings
The programming traditionally focuses on a mix: current audience favorites (comedies, family films, dramas), occasionally a classic or a German independent film. Four consecutive evenings mean that cinephile guests can attend the entire program like a small festival – others choose individual films.
Frammersbach in the Spessart
Frammersbach is located in the Main-Spessart district (Lower Franconia, Bavaria), nestled in the wooded highlands of the Spessart. The historic market town was once a central hub for the Frammersbach carters, who transported goods between Italy, France, and Central Europe in the Middle Ages and early modern period. Today, tourism and a vibrant club life characterize the image of the community with around 4,700 inhabitants.
