Talent competition for young artists up to 26 years old at the Wittenberge Culture and Festival Hall — Music, Dance, Comedy, HipHop, Acrobatics
Wittenberge, with around 16,000 inhabitants, is the largest town in the Prignitz district and is located directly on the Elbe in the far northwest of Brandenburg. In recent years, the former industrial city has opened the modern Wittenberge Culture and Festival Hall, a concert venue that hosts events of supra-regional significance. The SOS Talents Festival will take place here on June 5, 2026.
The SOS Talents Festival is a talent competition for young people up to 26 years old. The event is organized by SOS Children's Village Wittenberge in cooperation with the Culture and Festival Hall. Soloists, bands, choirs, and groups are sought in seven categories: Music, Dance, Theater, Singing, Comedy, HipHop, and Acrobatics. The professional stage of the festival hall lends a special dignity to the competition — many participants perform here for the first time in a fully equipped hall with professional lighting and sound technology.
The festival has two award categories: a Jury Prize (judged by a panel of experts) and an Audience Award (voted by the present audience). Several places will be awarded in both categories. Prize money totaling €700 is offered, donated by the Volks- und Raiffeisenbank Prignitz. In addition, there are trophies, merchandise, and vouchers. Perhaps the most valuable prize: a performance at the Wittenberge City and Harbor Festival in August 2026 — in front of several thousand visitors.
Applications can be submitted until April 5, 2026. Register via the Facebook page of SOS Children's Village Wittenberge, by email, or by phone at 0170 / 3758035. Performance duration per act is usually 3 to 5 minutes. The competition evening will be moderated, with short introductions of each act and a professional show atmosphere. Tickets for the audience are available through the Wittenberge Tourist Information.
Behind the competition lies the social mission of SOS Children's Village: to make talents visible, strengthen self-confidence, and at the same time make the work of the organization known. All young people up to 26 years old can participate — not just protégés of the institution. Thus, the festival is both a talent incubator and a platform for solidarity for children's and youth work in Wittenberge.
