Four Evenings, Four Styles

Since 2011, Sommersound Schopfheim has established itself as a fixture in the festival calendar of southern Baden. Four evenings, four completely different musical worlds: rock, party music, pop classics, and a family concert. The concept works – Sommersound attracts a mixed audience from the Markgräflerland, Basel, and Lörrach every year. The location directly on the market square with its historic town hall and the St. Michael's town church provides the perfect backdrop.

Thursday, July 16 — Gotthard (Stereo Crush Tour)

The Swiss hard rock legends Gotthard will kick things off. For over three decades, the band from Ticino has been one of the most successful rock acts in the Alpine region – with hits like "Lift U Up", "Heaven", and "I Can Dance Forever". They will rock the Schopfheim market square with their "Stereo Crush Tour".

Friday, July 17 — Fäaschtbänkler

On Friday, Fäaschtbänkler from the Allgäu region will take over with their mix of folk music, pop, and rock – played on accordion, Styrian harmonica, and drums. The five musicians from Vorarlberg and Allgäu have achieved international success with songs like "D'Sonn isch im Aaagang" and have been in-demand festival acts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for years.

Saturday, July 18 — Bonnie Tyler & Chris Norman Special Double

The highlight: a double concert with Welsh pop-rock icon Bonnie Tyler ("Total Eclipse of the Heart", "It's a Heartache") and British Smokie singer Chris Norman ("Stumblin' In", "Living Next Door to Alice"). Two voices that have shaped entire generations.

Sunday, July 19 — Deine Freunde (Kindesköpfe im Park Tour)

The family-friendly finale will be provided by Deine Freunde – the Hamburg-based hip-hop combo that offers concert experiences for both children and parents. With songs like "Schokolade", "Eltern", and "Gummibärchen", Markus, Lukas, and Pauli celebrate their unique blend of rap, pop, and clever lyrics.

Schopfheim — Gateway to the Markgräflerland

Schopfheim, with a population of just under 19,000, is located in the Lörrach district and is an important hub in the Wiesental valley. The S6 train connects Schopfheim directly with Basel SBB – a journey of only 35 minutes. The historic old town with its market square, medieval alleys, and St. Michael's town church is well-maintained and inviting. The Wiesental valley, connecting the Black Forest and the Rhine Valley, is both a wine region and a hiking paradise.
