Schützenverein Fürfeld 1972 e.V.

The Schützenverein Fürfeld was founded in 1972 and has been an important part of village life for half a century. In addition to competitive shooting with air rifle, air pistol, and small-bore rifle, the club fosters social life and participates in events and festivals of the local community. Several members successfully represent Fürfeld at district, regional, and national championships.

The Schützenhaus as a Venue

The Fürfeld Schützenhaus is located on the outskirts of the village and, with its shooting range, club room, outdoor area, and terrace, offers the ideal setting for club festivals. In warm summer weather, the outdoor area is used – marquees or pavilions, beer benches, a dance floor, and a food area transform the Schützenhaus into a lively meeting point for young and old on festival days.

Program and Atmosphere

The Sommerfest follows a tried-and-tested schedule: starting in the afternoon with coffee and cake, followed by catering in the evening with hearty specialties from the grill, draft beer, regional wines, and non-alcoholic drinks. A live band or a DJ provides musical accompaniment and a dance atmosphere. Children have their own activities (play area, bouncy castle depending on the year). The atmosphere is familial and relaxed – typical for a rural festival.

Fürfeld – Bridge between Nahe and Rheinhessen

Fürfeld belongs to the Bad Kreuznach municipality and is located in the eastern part of the district on the border with the Alzey-Worms district. The community of around 1,000 inhabitants is surrounded by vineyards, fields, and orchards. In the immediate vicinity are the sister villages of Neu-Bamberg, Frei-Laubersheim, and Tiefenthal with their own clubs, wine festivals, and castle ruins.
