Affalterbach Street Festival

Festival Mile in the Town Center

The Affalterbach Street Festival is one of the traditional summer festivals in the Ludwigsburg district. Organized by the Musikverein Affalterbach together with the art association Zweitakt-Kunst e.V., the festival takes over the town center: the central street is closed to traffic, participating clubs set up their pavilions on both sides, and the provisional stage is centrally located. You walk from stand to stand, sample the clubs' specialties, and enjoy the typical Swabian summer atmosphere.

Music Association as Main Organizer

The Musikverein Affalterbach has been the main organizer of the festival for decades. It provides the stage, organizes the band performances, and presents several program items with brass music itself. Local cover bands, acoustic acts, and guest music associations from surrounding communities also perform. The musical program is diverse — from traditional brass music to modern pop covers, depending on the time of day and target audience.

Zweitakt-Kunst e.V. — Artistic Touch

A special feature of the Affalterbach Street Festival: The art association Zweitakt-Kunst e.V. is a co-organizer. This brings an artistic touch to the festival — paintings, sculptures, and occasional performances complement the classic folk festival program. This sets the Affalterbach Street Festival apart from purely club-run gatherings and street festivals; it also offers a small artistic aspect that enhances the atmosphere.

Affalterbach — Small Municipality, Close to Cars

Affalterbach is located in the Ludwigsburg district, with just under 5,000 inhabitants, east of Marbach am Neckar. Affalterbach became famous through HWA AG, one of the most important motorsport and tuning partners of Mercedes-AMG. However, the street festival is independent of this — a classic club festival, supported by citizens for citizens.
