Sommerfest Campus Südstadt Rostock University

In 2026, the Computer Science and Mathematics student bodies of Rostock University will again host their joint summer festival on the Südstadt Campus. The exact date in July had not yet been set at the time of publication and will be announced by the student bodies. As usual, the campus around the Konrad-Zuse-Haus will transform into a meeting point for the academic community.

Expected Program 2026

The date and detailed program will be announced by the Computer Science and Mathematics student bodies closer to the date. Based on experience, the summer festival typically includes the following elements:

• Start in the afternoon (around 4:00 PM), end of the festival in the evening
• Food and drinks, including vegan and vegetarian options
• DJ for musical accompaniment
• Team competition in groups of five
• Tattoo station

The target audience is students, staff, and alumni of the departments.

• Joint university festival of the Computer Science and Mathematics student bodies

• End-of-season celebration at the close of the lecture period

The Südstadt Campus is accessible by tram and bus from Rostock city center.

Admission

Admission is free for members of the university. The festival begins in the afternoon (around 4:00 PM) and continues into the evening.
