Festival Zone in Soltau's City Center Ring

The festival zone of the city festival extends across the central streets and squares of Soltau's city center: Marktstraße, Georges-Lemoine-Platz, Alter Stadtgraben, and Hagen. This city-wide activation makes the festival an urban experience and allows visitors to stroll from stage to stage and from program point to program point.

Two Stages, Walk Acts, and Ferris Wheel

Two stages provide a continuous live music program. Walk acts with jugglers, stilt walkers, and musicians liven up the streets. A Ferris wheel offers a wide view over Soltau's city center and serves as an attraction for families.

Opening with STILLaLIVE

The festive opening ceremony takes place on Friday, May 29th at 8 PM, led by Mayor Karsten Brockmann. Immediately afterward, the band STILLaLIVE kicks off the stage program, setting the musical tone for the festival.

Blaulichtmeile (Emergency Services Mile)

The 'Blaulichtmeile' showcases the region's emergency services – fire department, rescue service, THW (Federal Agency for Technical Relief), and police. With emergency vehicles, demonstrations, and information on how to get involved, the mile becomes an informative part of the festival and strengthens awareness of the work done by aid organizations.

7th Heidekreis Festival of Education and Culture

On Saturday, from 11 AM to 4 PM, the 7th Heidekreis Festival of Education and Culture takes place as part of the city festival. Under the motto 'Wir sind bunt' (We are colorful), schools, educational institutions, cultural associations, and initiatives from the Heidekreis region present themselves with hands-on activities and information. This combination of a city festival and an education fair is a unique feature of the Soltau City Festival.

Flea Market and Sunday Shopping

On Sunday, a large flea market takes place from 11 AM to 6 PM, and concurrently, shops open for a Sunday shopping event from 12 PM to 5 PM. Thus, on Sunday, the festival combines browsing, shopping, and a festive atmosphere.

Röders Hof as an Activity Area

Röders Hof serves as an additional activity area. Jugglers, dance groups, a pirate show, and live music create a separate program window that is particularly attractive to children and families. The DONIKKL CREW performs for children free of charge.
