About CultureTime Old Market
The Hachenburg CultureTime is one of the fixed cultural highlights of the Westerwald summer. Under the motto “Meeting Point Old Market”, the historic market square of the Löwenstadt Hachenburg transforms into an open-air stage with changing styles.
The Thursday concerts attract visitors from all over the Westerwald week after week. Pop, Jazz, Swing, Hip-Hop, Rock and Cover programs meet the baroque cityscape and create a unique summer flair between the castle, church and half-timbered facades. Admission is free.
A Cultural Initiative for the Entire Region
The Hachenburg CultureTime is a non-profit festival format that has set itself the task of bringing high-quality live music into the public space of the Westerwald district town. Over several weeks, the series offers a program that is deliberately broad in style and appeals to a wide range of listening habits.
The Old Market as a Stage
The Old Market in Hachenburg is considered one of the most beautiful market squares in Rhineland-Palatinate. Surrounded by baroque and neoclassical townhouses, the town hall and the nearby castle, it forms a natural open-air stage with excellent acoustics. The CultureTime uses this backdrop for a program that combines the atmosphere of the old town with the sounds of the present.

A Relaxed Summer Atmosphere
Anyone who wants to spend a balmy summer evening in Hachenburg will find the ideal mix of live concert, outdoor gastronomy and neighborly get-together on the Old Market. The CultureTime is embedded in the diverse summer program of the Löwenstadt, which also includes the Night of the Choirs and several Kirmes (funfairs).

The Hachenburg CultureTime Thursday concerts in 2026 gather a diverse program over five dates in July. Pop, Blues, Rock and Cover programs meet the historic ambiance of the Old Market. The concert series is embedded in the summer program of the Löwenstadt and is one of the most popular open-air formats in the region. Admission is free.
The 2026 program has been officially published by the organizer. The five Thursday concerts in July are divided into two acts per evening and deliberately cover a broad stylistic range. The concerts usually start in the early evening and use the summer evening backdrop of the Old Market with its baroque cityscape as a natural stage.
