About 150 Years Blasmusik Rehling
150 Years Blasmusik Rehling — edition 2026
The festival weekend of June 5-7, 2026, is the highlight of the double anniversary in Rehling. Blasmusik Rehling celebrates its 150th anniversary since 1876 — one of the oldest brass bands in Swabia. In parallel, the BRK Petersdorf unit celebrates its 65th anniversary since 1961.
The joint festival weekend combines the two club anniversaries and leverages the synergy between brass music tradition and voluntary social commitment. The program includes classic elements of Bavarian club anniversaries: a festival evening with opening, an official ceremony, and a grand parade with friendly clubs from the Aichach-Friedberg district.

Blasmusik Rehling — Since 1876
Blasmusik Rehling was founded in 1876 — a few years after the founding of the German Empire. 150 years later, it is one of the oldest and most traditional brass bands in the Aichach-Friedberg district and in Bavarian Swabia. The band cultivates the classic Bavarian brass music repertoire — from concert marches, polkas, and waltzes to modern arrangements — and is an integral part of all Rehling festival days.
BRK Petersdorf — 65 Years of Humanitarian Work
Petersdorf is a district of the municipality of Rehling, and the local BRK unit is celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2026. The BRK (Bavarian Red Cross) has been providing voluntary medical services here since 1961 at festivals, sporting events, and accidents. The joint anniversary with the brass band is an expression of the close social ties of the village clubs.
Festival Weekend June 5-7, 2026
Three festival days in a classic festival weekend structure: Festival evening with festival tent opening on Friday, official ceremony and gala evening on Saturday, grand parade with friendly clubs, festival mass, and festival finale on Sunday. Preparations have been underway since early 2025, and the program is supported by the commitment of the entire community.
Rehling and the Wittelsbacher Land
Rehling is a municipality in the Aichach-Friedberg district with about 2,400 inhabitants, located at the transition between Lechfeld and Wittelsbacher Land. The region between Aichach (10 km) and Augsburg (25 km) is deeply shaped by the historical heritage of the Wittelsbacher dynasty. Club festivals with parades have a particularly high status here — as in all of Bavarian Swabia.
