A Stage on the Water
The Seebühne am Hammersee in Bodenwöhr is a special feature of the Upper Palatinate: a floating stage directly on the lake, with around 100 to 200 seats and an intimate, almost magical atmosphere. Throughout the summer months, the municipality of Bodenwöhr uses this venue for a diverse cultural series.

The program ranges from atmospheric concerts to Bavarian musical cabaret and chanson, as well as musicals and imaginative programs for the whole family. The mix is what makes it appealing: Irish sounds one evening, a family musical the next, then singer-songwriters or cabaret – always against the backdrop of the Hammersee.
Location in the Upper Palatinate Lake District
Bodenwöhr is located in the district of Schwandorf in the state of Bavaria, in the heart of the Upper Palatinate Lake District. The Hammersee is the centerpiece of the town; the Seebühne adds a cultural highlight to the region's leisure offerings. A parking lot is located at the edge of town in Ludwigsheide, only about 100 meters from the stage.

Seebühne Hammersee — edition 2026
From June 7 to September 4, 2026, the municipality of Bodenwöhr will host a diverse cultural series at the Seebühne am Hammersee. The family musical 'Farbenzauber' will kick off the season; subsequent events will include concerts, Austropop tributes, Bavarian musical cabaret, chanson, and singer-songwriters.
Performances will take place on the floating stage directly on the lake, with its special atmosphere. Tickets are available through the OK-Ticket shop; seating is limited.

Getting There
Seebühne am Hammersee, 92439 Bodenwöhr (District of Schwandorf). Parking available in Ludwigsheide at the edge of town (approx. 100 m to the stage) and at the Weichselbrunn parking lot. Bodenwöhr is accessible via the A93 (exit Schwandorf-Mitte/Bodenwöhr).
