Sea You Festival — the German Beach Open-Air Experience

Since 2010, the Sea You Festival at the Tunisee near Freiburg has been one of Germany's most beautiful electronic open-air festivals. What makes it so special: The festival grounds are located directly on the Tunisee, a clear swimming lake in Freiburg's Hochdorf district, nestled in the gentle hills between the Rhine valley and the Black Forest. Three of the six stages are directly on the lake shore — swimming, dancing, and sunbathing merge into a single festival experience, as no other German festival in this location offers.

The musical profile covers Techno, Tech-House, Trance, Psytrance, and Progressive — from hard Berlin techno sets to melodic sunset sounds by the lake.

Camping and Three-Day Experience

Sea You offers three camping areas (A, B, C), open from Friday to Monday morning. The Overnight Camping Package combines day tickets with Camping A. For many Sea You attendees, camping is an essential part of the experience — waking up together by the lake, a quick dip in the water, then exploring the festival grounds. The festival is thoughtfully designed: sunbathing lawns under trees, beach areas, cocktail bars between stages, food trucks with international cuisine.

Opening Hours and Format

• Friday, July 17th: 2:00 PM–1:00 AM (Music until 12:00 AM)
• Saturday, July 18th: 11:00 AM–1:00 AM (Music until 12:00 AM)
• Sunday, July 19th: 12:00 PM–11:30 PM (Music until 10:30 PM)

The early finish on Sunday evening (10:30 PM) is a conscious Sea You decision — the last sets play at sunset by the lake, an iconic moment of the festival.

Tunisee and the Freiburg Surroundings

The Tunisee is an almost 30-hectare gravel pit lake in western Freiburg, which has served as a local recreation area and swimming lake for decades. With the Sea You Festival, it has established itself as one of Germany's best festival locations — the combination of clear water, soft sandy beaches, and easy accessibility from Freiburg (with a 15-minute shuttle) is unique.
