Three-day main Schützenfest of the Vöhrum Marksmen's Guild with King's Shoot and parade
Vöhrum is a district of Peine with its own identity and a lively club scene. The Schützengilde Vöhrum is one of the defining clubs in the area and annually organizes the main Schützenfest, which forms the social highlight of Vöhrum's event calendar. The festival combines sporting competition, club tradition, and exuberant folk festival atmosphere into a three-day celebration weekend.
In the weeks leading up to the main festival, the royal season is sportingly prepared. The official King's Shoots take place on July 19 and July 26, 2026, and the banner ribbon shoot on July 25. These competition days have their own character and are accompanied by club members and their families.
The main festival weekend begins on Friday, July 31, with the festive opening of the marquee at the Schützenhaus on Posener Straße. On Saturday, the parade, a ceremonial act, and in the evening, the grand Marksmen's Ball take place. Sunday is dedicated to a morning pint (Frühschoppen), the King's proclamation, an afternoon for children, and the festival's conclusion.
The marquee at the Schützenhaus is the social center throughout all three days. Catering managed by the club, live music, DJ sets, dance events, and meetings with friendly marksmen's clubs shape the proceedings. The Schützengilde Vöhrum also engages with its traditional Oktoberfest on September 26, 2026.
The Schützenfest is an identity-forming event for the people of Vöhrum. It provides an occasion for family reunions, gatherings of friends, and for welcoming former members returning to their hometown for the festival. This social function is at least as important as the sporting aspect of the shooting.
From Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, the Schützengilde Vöhrum offers a packed program. The parade, King's proclamation, Marksmen's Ball, and morning pint (Frühschoppen) follow the proven schedule of North German Schützenfeste.
The sporting preliminary rounds take place in the weeks before the main festival. The King's Shoots will be held on July 19 and 26, and the banner ribbon shoot on July 25.
The detailed program will be published by the Schützengilde Vöhrum in early summer 2026. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years.
