140 Years of Marksmen Tradition
The Todenmann Marksmen's Association was founded in 1886, marking 140 years of tradition. During this time, the Schützenfest has established itself as a central social event in the Rinteln district of Todenmann. The association belongs to the Rinteln Citizens' Marksmen's Association and is closely linked to the club life of the entire city.
Festival Program Over Three Days
The Todenmann Schützenfest begins on Friday evening with the festive opening. Saturday is dedicated to the bird shooting, with which the new marksmen's monarch is determined. Sunday brings the most visually impressive moment of the weekend with the grand parade through Todenmann. Friendly associations, marching bands, and music clubs accompany the procession, and the new queen or king is honored on the festival grounds.
The Todenmann Music Corps
A special feature of Todenmann's club life is the traditional music corps, which not only musically accompanies its own festival but is also a guest at the major Schützenfest in Rinteln. This supra-local networking shows how closely the marksmen's associations in the Weserbergland cooperate and honor each other.
Village Community at the Center
In Todenmann, the Schützenfest is much more than just a club event. It is the festival of the village, bringing generations together, hosting friendly associations, and offering the entire village community a fixed date in the annual calendar. The Marksmen's Association invests a lot of volunteer work in the preparation and looks forward to numerous visitors every year.
