Schützenfest SV Halen

The Schützenverein Halen — since 1952

The Schützenverein Halen von 1952 e.V. is one of the younger shooting associations in the Tecklenburger Land — founded in 1952 after the Second World War, when shooting traditions were reorganized in many places. Its club motto: "Preservation of shooting customs and local identity". On Friday, May 15, 2026, the club will host its annual Schützenfest — as a compact kick-off event for the summer calendar.

A short, intensive event

Unlike the four-day Schützenfeste of larger clubs, the Halen format is a compact event in the early evening (7:00 PM to 7:30 PM). The format may include an official opening ritual, followed by a casual club evening in the clubhouse. Specific program details will be shared via the club's channels (website, Facebook) shortly before the date.

The Royal Couple 2024–2026

The current royal couple of SV Halen are Queen Slava Borgelt and King Matthias Prott — elected at the last royal proclamation. They are accompanied by adjutants Sabrina and Philipp Demmler, as well as Elke and "Mecki" Kosel. The royal couple represents the club at public events, in parades of friendly shooting clubs, and in maintaining club relationships within the Tecklenburger shooting network.

Lotte and the Halen district

Lotte is a municipality in the Steinfurt district — located directly northwest of Osnabrück, with about 14,000 inhabitants. Halen is one of its districts, characterized by its rural nature and agricultural tradition. The SV Halen is one of the central social organizations in the village — in addition to sporting activities, the club is involved in preserving village culture and neighborhood initiatives. A charity fundraising initiative is currently underway, with banking details available on the club's website.
