Schützenfest Hude

Hude Marksmen's Association

The Hude Marksmen's Association is one of the established marksmen's associations in the municipality of Hude (Oldenburg). It maintains the Schützenhaus with shooting ranges on Schützenstraße — an address that owes its name to its traditional roots. The annual Schützenfest is the highlight of the club's year.

Three-Day Format

With three days of festivities, the Hude festival is generously laid out. Bird shooting, king shooting, festive procession, king's dinner, family day, and dance evening are spread across the weekend. Brass bands and festival orchestras accompany the program.

Program Overview

The exact daily schedule will be communicated during the festival week. Usually, Friday is for the opening with the conclusion of the king shooting and the festival evening, Saturday for the festive procession and the main social program, and Sunday for the family program and the king's proclamation. The social evening program takes place in the festival tent at the Schützenhaus.

Parallel to Klosterbeben

As the Schützenfest 2026 takes place at the same time as the Klosterbeben at the Waldstadion Hude, both formats benefit from mutual visibility. They appeal to different target groups — and make the second weekend of June 2026 a festival weekend for the municipality of Hude.
