Schützenfest Herzebrock

Schützengilde Herzebrock — Club Life in the Southern Münsterland

The Schützengilde Herzebrock e.V. is one of the active marksmen's associations in the Gütersloh district. As in many places in Westphalia, the Schützenwesen (marksmen's tradition) is deeply rooted — the ladies' company, junior marksmen, and marksmen's companies structure club life. The club house is located at Jahnstraße 2a in the Herzebrock district.

Main Festival 30 May–1 June 2026 — Three Days of Marksmen's Tradition

The main festival runs on the last weekend of May 2026 — the last Saturday in May is the first day of the festival. Three days of events:

• Saturday 30 May — Opening of the festival, marksmen's mass, festival evening with live band
• Sunday 31 May — Festival service, morning pint, parade of all companies with royal courts and music bands from the region, coronation ball
• Monday 1 June — Morning pint, ladies' breakfast, closing of the festival

Pre-Programme May 2026

The pre-programme runs for several weeks before the main festival:

• 5 & 12 May — Junior Marksmen's May Cup (5:00–6:00 PM)
• 7 May — Ladies' Company Kimme-Korn Cup (7:30 PM)
• 8 May — Bosfeld-Brock Company Outing (6:15 PM)
• 9 May — Children's Schützenfest at the Schützenheim (3:00 PM)
• 14 May — Musical Brunch with all companies and Band Holtkamp (11:00 AM)
• 16 May — Parades of the Junior Marksmen and Children's Company
• 23 May — Outing of all companies in uniform (5:30 PM)

Herzebrock in the Gütersloh District

Herzebrock-Clarholz is a municipality in the Gütersloh district (southern Münsterland) with about 16,500 inhabitants, consisting of the two namesake districts Herzebrock and Clarholz. Both districts have their own marksmen's associations and their own festival calendars. The Schützenfest tradition is one of the firm pillars of community life — and the weekend before Pentecost is regularly the date for the big Herzebrock main festival.
